Designed by our founder, Ayssa Di Pietro, our boutique brings the brand to life and is the community-centric space of our headquarters in Sunset Harbour, Miami Beach. Take a look inside:
The boutique is light and airy, yet vibrant at the same time and has a feel-good vibe from the moment you step inside. Greeted by staff smiles, a self-serve bar, picturesque Instagram moments and of course the Miami Beach Bum product line.
From the mint blue 1968 Jeepster that sits out front, to the pastel surf boards and iconic 1970’s selfie mirror, you may start to wonder if you’ve wandered into an aesthetic dream or back in time. The Miami Beach Bum brand reflects the iconic curves and pastel pops of color that define the Art Deco style of architecture found on many Miami beachside facades.
“The first three pieces I picked out for the space were: The Aspen Slipper Sofa from Jonathan Adler, Pink ‘Ultrafragola’ Mirror Designed by Ettore Sottsass, and the chandelier. These 3 pieces are all whimsical and have a ‘wave-like’ element reminiscent of the beach. My favorite piece, The Ultrafragola, is an Italian mirror from the 70’s that makes for the best selfies and to me, has Art Deco vibes at its core. The boutique features 20 foot ceilings, so I knew we’d need a lighting fixture to fill the space.
Fun fact: I spent an entire night choosing the drop length for each bulb. It was a drama, but I like how it turned out.
Next was designing our handmade custom displays. A light toned smooth sandstone countertop was the perfect beach-like contrast to our brightly colored product packaging. And staying consistent to the iconic curvature we feature throughout the boutique, she choose reeded white oak wood.
Another favorite part of the design process was having our lifestyle photographer, Jordan Braun, shoot the Henrosa as the print we hang on the boutique wall. Every piece is truly custom-made, even our curved-brass clothing rack."
